The Calhoun, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 68 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $2 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.98 per share.

The flooring maker posted revenue of $2.7 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.72 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $369.9 million, or $5.93 per share. Revenue was reported as $10.79 billion.
