The Dallas-based bank said it had earnings of 69 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 46 cents per share.

The insurance holding compnay posted revenue of $411.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $329.9 million, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $302.8 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $165.6 million, or $2.64 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.28 billion.
